How steam generators are made
Steam generator is one of the component parts of the reactor plant, an item of the first safety class. This is a horizontal cylindrical vessel, inside which collectors with heat exchange pipes (coils) are installed. Watch a short video to learn more about the steam generator.
The manufacturing capabilities of AEM-Technologies allow to produce up to eight steam generators per year.

Safety
The steam generator is a first class safety product | |
The body of a modern steam generator is made of several segments connected together by flux welding. The walls are made of steel 20 cm thick to protect the structure from the yield of fission products beyond the boundaries of the primary reactor coolant circuit.

Inspection points | > 100 inspection points in the presence of representatives of authorized organizations and the customer > 300 quality control operations of each product |
Delivery of steam generators
Delivery of a steam generator is a complex logistical operation. For the transportation of large-sized equipment, the features of the navigation season, weather conditions, tonnage of products and the need for special equipment are taken into account.
For the transportation of a steam generator weighing more than 300 tons, a safe route is laid with preliminary diagnostics of roads and engineering structures. Measures are being taken to strengthen bridges, ceilings, overpasses and crossings.
For transportation work inside the reactor building, cranes of bridge electric circular action are used. Delivery of the steam generator inside the reactor compartment is carried out through the opening of the transport lock using a crane and a transport trolley.
