Reactor Coolant Pump Set (RCPS)

The reactor coolant pump set (RCPS) is a product of safety class 1, the main process equipment of the reactor plant. The RCPS ensures coolant circulation via closed circuits of the main coolant pipeline through the reactor and steam generator.

AEM-Technologies produces spherical housings with a spacer - the main component of the RCPS housing. All products are tested according to various parameters for timely elimination of faults and possible deviations in operation.

General characteristics

RCPS manufacturing shall comply with very strict requirements as the equipment operates in severe corrosive conditions. All joints of RCPS housings are subject to various types of checks such as radiographic, ultrasonic, and dye penetrant tests. Each RCPS is hydraulically tested at the production site. Such measures enable ensuring the uninterrupted coolant operation under pressure of about 160 atm..
