Welding production

A series of workshops for the manufacture of large-sized chemical equipment was put into operation in 1976 and is a unique facility in our time. The production uses all types of manual, semi-automatic and automatic welding in various atmospheres for stainless, carbon steels and non-ferrous metals.

Electric arc and electroslag anticorrosive cladding of inner cylindrical surfaces of various diameters has been mastered. The workshops are equipped with combined production systems for the manufacture of articles with a diameter of up to 8 meters, a length of up to 100 meters and a weight of up to 600 tons.

11

Operational and final quality control
The technological process includes a complete manufacturing cycle from incoming materials control to painting and shipment of equipment, including a procurement section and a section for hot stamping of bottoms.
In order to compact production processes, a group of machine tools for machining large-sized products is currently located in the welding workshops. The newest turning and boring and milling machining centers are located here, allowing to process workpieces with a diameter of up to 10 meters, a height of up to 6 meters and a weight of up to 200 tons.

The following types of welding are used:
• manual arc welding with coated electrodes (MMA);
• manual arc welding with a non-consumable electrode in shielding gases.(TIG);
• semi-automatic and automatic  gas-shielded consumable electrode welding (MIG/MAG);
• automatic submerged arc welding (SAW);
• automatic submerged arc welding with strip electrode and wire.
