Machining production

Atommash machining production is equipped with a wide range of modern milling, boring, vertical lathes, lathes, as well as deep drilling machines. To speed up machining of items and reduce the production time of the key reactor island equipment, machines of the plant were modernized.

On machines, large-sized shells are machined, deep boring of holes is carried out, threads are cut by thread milling, holes are drilled and bored in spherical top heads, primary circuit collectors.

Horizontal milling and boring machine
Description
The unique high-performance CNC machine is used for drilling, milling, boring and reaming of flat and curved surfaces. It allows to make threaded holes designed to connect the reactor vessel with its top head.

Bridge-type turning and boring lathe with a transverse sliding table
Description
The plant is designed to machine parts weighing up to 400 tons, up to 7,800 mm high and up to 10,500 mm in diameter. Equipped with a CNC system, it allows you to quickly switch between processing conditions and significantly automatize the work cycle.

Vertical lathes
Description
Automated lathes are designed for efficient turning of parts of various sizes, including large-sized parts with a diameter of up to 6,500 mm and a height of up to 5,000 mm. The design of the spindle assembly ensures continuous operation at high feed rates under axial and radial loads.

Deep drilling machines
Description
Two-column three-spindle machines with a working area of 6.000 x 4.300 mm are used for drilling tube sheets. The maximum drilling diameter is 65 mm, the maximum depth is 1.100 mm. Computer numerical control (CNC) helps to achieve high quality boring holes.

Horizontal milling and boring machine
Description
Automated machine carries out drilling, boring, milling and reaming of blanks in two and three planes, and is also used for thread milling by interpolation. The machine consists of two working legs and is equipped with a rotary table with a positioning accuracy of 0.02 mm and provides high quality deep hole processing.

Maximum spindle speed: 1,600 rpm

Boring spindle diameter: 225 mm

Spindle control speeds: 0.1 - 1,600 rpm

The capacities of the machining production of the Atommash plant ensure the preparation of oversized blanks for subsequent installation in the manufacture of equipment for nuclear power plants and oil refineries, as well as pipeline fittings for petrochemical industry enterprises. Machine tools are regularly upgraded to improve productivity and quality of product processing.
