Atommash demonstrated the advantages of native technologies to the Indian Plenipotentiary Ambassador

The Indian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Saran Pankaj was on a visit to the Branch of JSC “AEM – technology” in Volgodonsk (which is a part of the maching-building subdivision of ROSATOM JSC “Atomenergomash”.

The delegation included the Secretaries of the Indian Embassy in Russia and the head of the representative office of the Indian Nuclear Power Corporation in Russia Saha Subrata.

The guests familiarized with the plant manufacturing capabilities in production building No.1 where the main NPP equipment is produced. In particular, the Indian representatives were shown the manufacturing stages of the steam generator production for “Kudankulam” NPP. After their tour of the production site, the delegation visited the museum of “Atommash”.

At the end of the visit the parties hold talks about the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of equipment manufacturing for new NPP projects.

The Ambassador Pankaj Saran noted the production capabilities of “Atommash”: «Very high technology, very impressive scale of operations. And one of the few facilities like this anywhere in the world. I was particularly happy to see the products have been made for Indian Nuclear Power Plants, particularly for Kudankulam and I wish the management workers all success and I believe that this is one of the best examples of Russian technology and Russian manufacturing capability which has made Russia such a valuable partner for India for our own nuclear energy program».

Atomenergomash is a supplier of the important nuclear equipment for units 3 and 4 for Kudankulam NPP. Two sets of the steam generators for this NPP are being manufactured now.
